1) Listen the following conversation and then answer the questions:

Exercises:

1) Listen and read the dialogue below:



Paul: Hi, I'm Paul

Bob: Hello, my name is Bob

Bob: I'm from London. But my dad's working here now. What about you?

Bob: Mandela road? I'm in Bank Street, that is not far.

Then, practice this conversation with a partner. The teacher may change certain text key words (names, street, mum instead of dad...) and tell the students to reproduce the dialogue with these changes, in order to encourage comprehension of structural patterns.



2) Listen to a dialogue about school timetable (subjects and lunch's time and place) between 2 students. The pupils must fill in the gaps of a provided timetable with the information from the dialogue. The timetable's gaps may change according to internal differences among students' level.



3) Listen to a dialogue between 2 students talking about their peers: they ask for their peers' names to each other, providing phisical description, clothes' description and names. The students are given a picture where 4 or 5 persons are drawn, and they must link them to their name according to the info provided by the dialogue.



4) Read the following letter and answer to this questions.



Dear Tessa,

I'm back and the weather's terrible, what's the weather like in London? It was great to meet you in Lanzarote. I hope we can meet in London or Northampton soon. You must come and visit me. Objetivo:

Introducir la complejidad cultural de una nacion a alumnos hispanohablantes de aleman, cuyo perfil seria el de un adulto de nivel medio en españa, o de un adulto que vive ya en un pais de habla germana y necesita entender mejor el mundo que le rodea.

Ziel:

Die kulturelle Komplexität von einer Nation zu Spanischen Deutschestudenten presäntieren. Diese haben das Profil von einem im Spanien lebenden Mittelstuffe Erwachsener, oder einem Erwachsener, der in einem Deutschesprächigen Land wohnt und braucht, besser seine Umgebung zu verstehen.
Introduccion:

Si te preguntasemos que opinas de los alemanes, que tipo de palabras te vienen a la cabeza... Mallorca, cerveza, salchichas, Claudia Schieffer,puntualidad, gente en sandalias y calcetines....
Hoy vamos a intentar desmontar este mito e intentar profundizar un poco mas en una cultura que es mucho mas compleja de lo que se pueda imaginar.
Teneis que responder, en aleman por supuesto, a las preguntas que se encuentran a la derecha, de las cuales 8 tienen respuestas cortas y 2 son para desarrollar. Teneis que buscar las respuestas a las preguntas cortas a traves de los links que os proporciono mas abajo, y despues contestar a las preguntas 10 y 11, dando vuestra opinion. Y, por supuesto, en el transcurso de esta actividad esta prohibido hablar en español.
